Four state-owned mainland banks issued renminbi bonds worth 6.7 billion yuan (US$1.1 billion) in Taiwan, the official Xinhua news agency reported Tuesday. The bonds were issued on the GreTai Securities Market by Bank of Communications Co. Ltd. (BoCom) (03328.HK, 601328.CN), Agricultural Bank of China Ltd. (ABC) (01288.HK, 601288.CN), Bank of China Ltd. (BoC) (03988.HK, 601988.CN) and China Construction Bank Corp. (CCB) (00939.HK, 601939). BoCom issued 1.2 billion yuan of bonds, ABC issued 1.5 billion yuan, while BoC and CCB issued 2 billion yuan each. That took the total bonds issued in renminbi in Taiwan to 10.6 billion yuan, the report said.
