China imported 746.1 million metric tons of iron ore in the first 11 months, up 10.9 percent from a year ago, financial news provider Secutimes.com reported late Tuesday, citing data from the General Administration of Customs. The average import price fell 0.78 percent from a year ago to US$129.17 per metric ton. In November alone, China imported 77.84 million metric tons of iron ore at an average price of US$128.33 per metric ton. The import volume for November is the highest for this year, the report said.
