ADB raises China GDP forecasts for 2013 and 2014, Xinhua says

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said Wednesday that it has raised China’s gross domestic product growth forecast for this year to 7.7 percent from 7.6 percent, and that for 2014 to 7.5 percent from 7.4 percent, Xinhua news agency reported. The ADB was quoted as saying in a report that the Chinese economy will benefit from infrastructure investments in the two years. Despite a relatively uncertain outlook for the global economy, East Asia is expected to clock a growth rate of 6.7 percent this year as well as in 2014, mainly fueled by China’s economic development, the ADB said.
