Beijing’s consumer price index (CPI) climbed 3.3 percent year on year in November, Xinhua news agency reported late Wednesday, citing data from the capital city’s statistics bureau. The growth rate eased 0.1 percentage point from October. Food prices increased 6.5 percent in November, contributing 1.77 percentage points to the city’s CPI growth rate. For the first 11 months, Beijing’s CPI rose 3.3 percent from a year ago, the report said.
