Japanese SMEs invited to list shares in Taiwan, Kyodo says

The Taiwan Stock Exchange held a promotional seminar in Tokyo on Wednesday in a bid to attract Japanese small and medium-sized firms to list their shares on the island, Kyodo news agency reported. Japanese firms can expand on the mainland market by listing in Taiwan in view of the cross-strait Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement, exchange chairman Lee Sush-der was quoted as saying. Auto Server, a Japanese online used-car trading platform operator, will list shares in Taiwan in January next year, becoming the first firm wholly owned by foreigners to list on the exchange, the report said.
