GEM companies must issue earning forecast, HKEJ says

The China Securities Regulatory Commission said all companies listed on the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) must issue earnings forecast in their regular or special results announcements, in order to alert investors if a deficit, a change in net profit that is higher than 50 percent, or negative value in assets is expected, the Hong Kong Economic Journal reported Thursday. Companies listed on the main board are encouraged to issue earnings forecast before their results announcement, although this is not a statutory requirement, the report said.
