Taipei 101 is Taiwan ‘land king’ for 2014, paper says

The value of land at Taipei 101, one of the world’s tallest buildings, is set at NT$1.52 million (US$51,262) per square meter for 2014, making it the “Land King” or most expensive plot on the island for the first time, China Securities Journal reported Friday, citing data released by Taipei city government’s Department of Land. The value is up 17.01 percent from this year. Shin Kong Life Tower, the most expensive real estate for the past 15 years, slipped to second place for 2014 at NT$1.519 million per square meter, but still up 13.88 percent from this year, the report said.
