Abe seeks Sino-Japan leaders’ summit, Kyodo says

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said on Sunday that he hopes a Japan-China leaders’ summit can be held as soon as possible to resolve issues between the two sides, Kyodo news agency reported. He said both sides should return to the original point of mutually beneficial strategic relationship Meanwhile, Abe also stressed that Japan will work with other countries to ask China to revoke any measure that may hider flight safety. The Japanese government’s stance of asking domestic airlines not to submit flight plans to Chinese authorities for routes through China’s newly declared air defense identification zone over the East China Sea remains unchanged, the report said.
