Central Huijin lifts stake in New China Life, paper says

Central Huijin Investment Ltd. is said to have snapped up 0.11 percent stake worth around 79.05 million yuan (US$13.02 million) in New China Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (01336.HK, 601336.CN), and a 0.25 percent stake worth around 286 million yuan (US$47.105 million) in China Everbright Bank Co. Ltd. (601818.CN) during the last six months, the Shanghai Securities News reported Saturday. Following the additional share purchases, Central Huijin now owns 31.34 percent stake in New China Life Insurance and a 48.62 percent stake in China Everbright Bank, the report said.
