Renault to focus on SUVs in China, WSJ says

French carmaker Renault SA plans to focus on building sport-utility vehicles in China with partner Dongfeng Motor Group Co. to tap into the growing demand in the country for larger passenger vehicles, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday. Chairman and Chief Executive Carlos Ghosn was quoted as saying that the venture is licensed to produce SUVs and crossovers. “Licenses for sedans will come later,” Ghosn told reporters Monday on the sidelines of a ceremony to launch the 50-50 partnership with Dongfeng, the Journal said.
