Zhang Yi may have been elevated to top post at SASAC, paper says

Zhang Yi {張毅}, vice chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), may have been elevated to the chairman’s post at the state-owned assets regulator, China Business News reported late Tuesday. Although Zhang’s title is still “vice chairman” on SASAC’s website, several statements issued by central state-owned enterprises suggest that he has been promoted, it said. A spokesperson for SASAC declined to confirm the matter, the report said. SASAC’s former chairman Jiang Jiemin {蔣潔敏} was removed from his position in early September amid allegations of serious disciplinary violations.
