Amazon taps China partners for cloud service, WSJ says

Amazon.com Inc. said it is collaborating with several Chinese firms for its first cloud service in the country that aims to draw new customers to its fast-expanding Amazon Web Services business, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday. The Seattle-based online retailer said ChinaNetCenter (300017.CN) and SINNET are among a group of enterprises that will provide data centers, network facilities and other hardware infrastructure. The US firm said it has also signed agreements with government authorities in Beijing and Ningxia.
