Sinotruk (Hong Kong) Ltd. (03808.HK, 000951.CN) said its vehicle sales target for next year is 200,000 units, with 140,000 of those being heavy-duty trucks, the China Securities Journal reported Thursday, citing chairman Ma Chunji. In the eleven months to November this year, Sinotruk sold 151,000 trucks, representing an increase of 20 percent over the same period in 2012. Revenue stood at 56 billion yuan (US$9.22 billion), up 15 percent, while net profit and tax paid totaled 1.9 billion yuan, an increase of 26 percent over a year ago. As the National IV emission standards are likely to be taken nationwide next year, from the current 90 cities, Sinotruk will benefit from increased new vehicle demand, Ma added.
