PSA Peugeot Citroen has unveiled an up-market sedan to lure more well-heeled car buyers in China, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday. The addition to the company’s DS range of high-end vehicles is the latest move by the French firm to try to move its Citroen brand into the space currently dominated by German manufacturers, it noted. The new car will be made at the Shenzen assembly plant of CAPSA, a joint venture between Peugeot and China’s Chang’An Automobile Co., the report said. Product launch on the market is scheduled for the end of March.
