Bank shares drop as QFIIs shuffle positions, paper says

Mainland bank shares fell Friday after some qualified foreign institutional investors adjusted holdings to reflect changes in the makeup of some overseas indexes, the Securities Times reported Monday, citing the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Bank shares shed 3.54 percent on average Friday, with CITIC Bank (601998.CN) losing 8.67 percent and China Construction Bank (601939.CN; 00939.HK) 6.16 percent.
