62% of Japan firms to pursue business plans in China, paper says

Some 62 percent of Japanese firms in China will not change their production or purchase plans in Asia’s largest economy despite increased tensions arising from the territorial dispute between the two countries, the Nikkei Shimbun reported Thursday, citing its own survey. The survey showed that only 3.4 percent of the 100 respondents are considering scaling back their business plans in China or transferring to other countries. More than 70 percent of the entrepreneurssurveyed showed strong interest in increasing their investments in Southeast Asian countries, the report said.
