The Communist Party of China (CPC) has vowed to firmly fight corruption and maintain its “high-handed posture” in the next five years, the official Xinhua news agency reported, citing a a five-year (2013-2017) plan issued by the CPC Central Committee on Wednesday. According to the plan, all cases must be investigated and miscreants punished more severely to deter others. “Corruption is still common. The soil that nourishes corruption still exists. The situation remains critical and complicated,” the CPC document said, adding that “public satisfaction should be achieved” within five years.
