Public security vice minister Li Dongsheng sacked, Xinhua says

Li Dongsheng, China’s vice minister of public security, has been removed from his position as well as other posts, including as deputy secretary of the ministry’s Communist Party committee and deputy chief of a central leading group for the prevention and handling of cult-related issues, the official Xinhua news agency reported Wednesday, citing an unnamed official in the Organization Department of the party’s Central Committee. Li has been under investigation for serious violations of discipline and laws since last week, the report said.
