Heilongjiang names firms with unsafe oil pipelines, report says

Heilongjiang has cited six companies, including four belonging to the China National Petroleum Corp., for unsafe oil pipeline construction, Xinhua news agency reported on Thursday. The firms were found to have pipelines constructed very near residential areas or violated safety regulations. The provincial safety administration earlier launched a special safety inspection campaign shortly after a Nov. 22 explosion at an oil pipeline owned by Sinopec Corp. (00386.HK, 600028.CN) killed 62 people in Qingdao, the report said.
