Record grain procurement for state reserve Jan-Nov, Xinhua says

China has collected over 100 million tons of grain for state reserves in the first 11 months of this year, marking a record high, Xinhua news agency reported Friday, citing China Grain Reserves Corp. China Grain completed 36.36 million tons of grain and food oil sales during the period, stabilizing market supply, it said. State reserves usually act as a buffer to adjust the supply and demand situation in the market and stabilize prices.
