China overhauls Company Law to ease market access, report says

China has revised its Company Law to lower the threshold for setting up firms and expand market access, China News Service reported Monday, citing the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress. The revisions include changing paid-in capital registration to subscribed capital registration, and removing the minimum capital requirement. Companies also do not have to submit capital verification reports when they register.
