China to curb price irregularities in holiday season, paper says

China will take measures to clamp down on price irregularities during the New Year and Spring Festival holiday season, China News Service reported Monday, citing the National Development and Reform Commission. Travel and tourism, car washing, housekeeping services and e-commerce will be among focus areas for price monitoring, the report said. If any irregularities, such as price manipulation, fraud or misleading advertising, are found, those responsible will be penalized, it said.
