Govt clears 125 bln yuan Beijing-Shenyang rail line, report says

China Railway Corp. has won approval from the cabinet to build a passenger rail line linking Beijing and Shenyang in the nation’s northeast, China News Service reported Monday, citing the company. The rail line, which will involve total investment of 124.5 billion yuan (US$20.34 billion), is expected to shorten the travel time between the two cities to around two and a half hours, the report said.
