Railways, nuclear power to drive export growth, CNS says

Commerce Minister Gao Hucheng {高虎城} said high-tech applications such as high-speed railway and nuclear power will become the new driving forces for China’s export growth, the China News Service reported Monday. The outlook for the country’s exports, especially of these industries, is “very encouraging”, Gao said. China has more than 10,000 kilometers of high-speed railway in operation and another 12,000 kilometers under construction, the report said.
