China suspended imports of US drugmaker Pfizer Inc’s AIDS-related drug Diflucan on Tuesday, citing a problem with late paperwork, Reuters reported. The China Food and Drug Administration was quoted as saying in a statement that Pfizer contravened Chinese law when one of its France-based factories failed to submit a supplementary application on time. The US drug giant said it has taken steps to resolve the issue and is working with mainland authorities to ensure that its products comply with Chinese law. The issue is not linked to quality or safety, it said.
