3 hep B vaccine makers told to stop output, paper says

Three hepatitis B vaccine makers were ordered to suspend production from Wednesday for failing to pass the new version of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certification system, the China Business News reported Thursday, citing the database of the China Food and Drug Administration. The three manufacturers are Beijing Tiantan Biological Products Co. Ltd. (600161.CN), Shenzhen Kangtai Biological Products Co. Ltd. and Dalian Hissen Bio-pharm Inc. Makers of blood products, vaccines and injection products had until Tuesday to meet the new GMP rules while makers of the other types of drugs must comply by end-2015, the report said.
