South Korea sets up tourism office in Xi’an, Xinhua says

South Korea’s tourism organization has set up an office in Xi’an in northwestern China’s Shaanxi province to promote its tourism products, its sixth in the country, the official Xinhua news agency reported Wednesday. The number of Chinese tourists visiting South Korea from the central and western region, including Xi’an, has been increasing with the number of visas issued last year doubling to 48,000 from 2012. The organization also has offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenyang and Chengdu, the report said.
