Construction is expected to start on Universal Studios Beijing in the fourth quarter, the Shanghai Securities News reported Thursday, citing sources from the Beijing Bureau of the National Development and Reform Commission. The 12 billion yuan (US$1.983 billion) project in Tongzhou district could be completed as early as January 2018 and is expected to bring financial benefits to the area, unnamed analysts were quoted as saying.
