Taiwan Finance Minister warns on housing bubble, paper says

Taiwan’s Finance Minister, Chang Sheng-ford, issued a warning on housing prices Thursday, saying that more than half of the 10 major property market indicators reflect overheating and the bubble could suddenly burst, the China Securities Journal reported Friday. Chang said some home prices in Taiwan are more than 10 times the usual annual income, compared with three to five times under normal conditions, while the return on rent is also low. He warned investors not to rush into the housing market unless they are going to live in the homes, the report said.
