Govt set to pilot elderly services reform, paper says

The Ministry of Civil Affairs and the National Development and Reform Commission will roll out a trial scheme to reform the country’s elderly services, allowing greater participation of private capital and granting preferential treatment to flagship companies, the Shanghai Securities News reported Tuesday. Each province can nominate up to two cities or counties for the trial scheme, which is being launched in response to the State Council’s call last September to expedite the reform of elderly services, the report said.
