Beijing sells four land plots for 7.81 bln yuan, paper says

The Beijing municipal government reaped 7.81 billion yuan (US$1.29 billion) from its first land auction this year on Tuesday, involving four sites, Beijing News reported Wednesday. Two of the sites were in Fangshan district while the other two were in the Shunyi district, the paper said. Zhang Dawei, research director of Centaline Property Agency, was quoted as saying that Beijing’s land transfer income this month may be very high due to increased supply.
