Local govts plan subsidy schemes for solar projects, paper says

Various local administrations plan to launch their own subsidy schemes for distributed solar power projects on top of the 0.42 yuan per kilowatt-hour national subsidy announced by the National Development and Reform Commission on Aug. 26, 2013, the Shanghai Securities News reported Wednesday. Shanghai is expected to provide 0.25 yuan per kilowatt/hour on top of the national subsidy for five years, while Zhejiang is likely to announce a 0.1 yuan per kilowatt-hour plan. The subsidy plan has also encouraged residential use of solar power systems, with over 20 installations already recorded in Shanghai, the report said.
