Shenzhen reported a new H7N9 bird flu human infection case on Tuesday, bringing the total number of H7N9 patients in Guangdong province to nine, Xinhua news agency reported Tuesday, citing the provincial health bureau. The new Shenzhen patient was a 31-year-old male, according to the report. Meanwhile, a 39-year-old Dongguan patient, who was confirmed as being infected by the virus in mid-December, died late Monday, it said. As the end of Tuesday, there had been two H7N9 cases in Shenzhen, one in Foshan, one in Huizhou, three in Yangjiang and two in Dongguan.
