China’s forestry output was worth 4.46 trillion yuan (US$736.3 billion) in 2013, up 13 percent year on year, government portal gov.cn reported Thursday, citing State Forestry Administration data. Foreign trade of forestry products came in at US$125 billion, up 5.2 percent from a year ago. Forest-related tourism attracted 780 million people, up 15 percent year on year. China produced 83.67 million cubic meters of wood-based panels and used 16.8 million mu (1.12 million hectares) to grow flowers, the report said.
