China service trade up 11% at US$520 bln, Xinhua says

China’s service imports and exports in 2013 rose 11 percent to US$520 billion from the previous year, Xinhua news agency reported Friday, citing Yao Jian, spokesman of the commerce ministry. Driven by domestic demand, growth in service imports was higher that that of exports, Yao said. Service trade is expected to surpass US$600 billion by 2015 and break US$1 trillion by 2020, he added.
