COFCO seeks piece of Dutch grain trader, WSJ says

Chinese state-owned food company COFCO Corp. offered to buy a minority stake in Netherlands-based grain trader Nidera BV, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday. COFCO submitted a binding bid for the stake last month, the report said, quoting a person familiar with the transaction. The stake is valued at around US$250 million, but it wasn’t clear how much COFCO offered to pay, it said.
