China online sales up 31.9% in 2013, MoC says

The value of online consumer goods sales in China climbed 31.9 percent in 2013 from the previous year, outstripping the sales growth rate of physical channels, according to data released by the Ministry of Commerce on Thursday. Overall, the sales value of consumer goods for the year increased by 8.9 percent, faster than the 8.3 percent growth rate seen in 2012, ministry spokesman Shen Danyang said in a media webcast.
