Tibet to spend more on infrastructure, website says

The governments of Hebei, Ningxia and Tibet are among the local authorities planning to increase spending this year on infrastructure, environmental protection and public services, government-backed China.com.cn reported Thursday, citing the plans of the governments. Tibet has earmarked 8.6 billion yuan (US$1.42 billion) for infrastructure, up 2.4 billion yuan, or 39.1 percent, year on year. Ningxia will spend 3.92 billion yuan on improving public services, while Hebei plans to allocate 800 million yuan to fight air pollution, the report said.
