The Dalian Commodity Exchange has begun soliciting public opinions on a planned launch of polypropylene futures contracts on the bourse, the Shanghai Securities News reported Monday. The public consultation process, which commenced last Friday, will last until Jan. 27, the report said. The addition of polypropylene will take the number of petrochemical futures products on the bourse to four. Under the plan, trading of polypropylene contracts will be conducted at 5 tons per hand, the report said.
