China’s tourism income during the upcoming Spring Festival holiday is expected to reach 130 billion yuan (US$21.36 billion), representing an increase of 11.1 percent from the level recorded in the same festive season last year, Xinhua news agency reported Sunday, citing a survey conducted by the China Tourism Academy. Travelers are seen up 10.8 percent in number to about 225 million, it said. About 60 percent of the people expressed willingness to travel during the festival, compared with 76.8 percent seen in 2013. In addition, the survey showed that 39.3 percent of travelers who had booked tour packages had opted for overseas destinations while 32 percent picked cross-province tours.
