China slaps tariffs on US, S Korean polysilicon, website reports

The Ministry of Commerce has introduced an anti-subsidy and anti-dumping levy on imports of solar-grade US polysilicon and an anti-dumping levy on similar imports from South Korea, government portal gov.cn reported Monday. For US imports, the anti-subsidy levy is up to 2.1 percent and the anti-dumping tariff is between 53.3 percent and 57 percent. Korean imports will attract a tariff of 2.4 percent to 48.7 percent. The tariffs will be effective for five years from Jan. 20, the report said.
