China’s Lenovo Group has resumed discussions to buy International Business Machines Corp’s low-end server unit, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing a source familiar with the matter. The two companies had been in discussions over the division last year, but no deal was made as they couldn’t agree on a price, the report said. It is unclear how far along the more recent talks have been, or what prices were being considered, it said. Meanwhile, Bloomberg cited a source as saying that Lenovo was in serious discussions to buy the unit and that a deal may be signed within weeks.
