Social media has been positive for about 77 percent of web users despite worries over privacy and less reading time, Shanghai Daily reported Wednesday, citing a consumer study. The respondents said social media’s impact is positive and only 6.7 percent said it has made their lives worse. The rest said its impact is neutral, consumer research firm Kantar China said in its Social Media Impact Report. The online survey polled 12,221 participants. The social media’s major benefits include adjusting mood and relieving pressure and making life more efficient and convenient, the report said.
