Wealthy Chinese want British education for children, FT says

Britain has emerged as the most popular choice for pre-university education among wealthy Chinese families, the Financial Times reported Wednesday, citing research that underlines London’s growing attraction as a place for investment and studies. About 29 percent of affluent Chinese families choose Britain for their children’s secondary education, according to The Hurun Report, a closely watched annual survey of China’s entrepreneurs and investors. Eighty percent want to send their children abroad for their education, Rupert Hoogewerf, Hurun Report founder, was quoted as saying.
