2 trn yuan hole in China climate funding by 2020, website says

China will be more than 2 trillion yuan (US$330.61 billion) short by 2020 of the funding it needs to combat climate change and support investment in low-carbon development, news website caixin.com reported Friday, citing a report by the Research Center for Climate and Energy Finance at the Central University of Finance and Economics. The report projected that the annual demand for climate financing will rise to 2.75 trillion yuan in 2020, compared to the 525.6 billion yuan available at present, the report said.
