Caterpillar upbeat on China outlook, Reuters says

Caterpillar Inc. said it was still upbeat about the outlook for China, despite worries about its economy, Reuters reported Monday. Caterpillar, the world’s largest maker of earth-moving equipment, reported better-than-expected earnings, lifted in part by another strong quarter of construction equipment sales in China, the news agency said. Caterpillar said it expected China to grow at a rate slightly above 7.5 percent this year, supporting additional sales of its machinery as well as increased demand for industrial commodities, the report said.
