Discipline watchdog backs graft body reform, website says

China’s disciplinary authorities are in favor of reforming anti-corruption bodies to improve their efficiency, government portal gov.cn reported Sunday. The Central Disciplinary Commission said corruption investigations should be headed by senior disciplinary officials from the central government to avoid improper handling at the local government level. Also, the nomination and assessment of local disciplinary officials should be overseen by the central committee, the report said.
