PBoC forex reserves up by 223.3 bln yuan in December, paper says

The People’s Bank of China had foreign exchange reserves of 26.48 trillion yuan (US$4.36 trillion) at the end of December, up by 223.34 billion yuan from a month earlier, Securities Times reported Friday. It was the sixth consecutive monthly increase. China’s central bank added 2.76 trillion yuan to its foreign exchange reserves in 2013, an increase of 11.66 percent from the previous year, the report said.
