Swiss watch exports to mainland China jumped 18.8 percent in December, raising hopes that their third-biggest market is recovering after a government crackdown on gift-giving to officials hit demand for luxury timepieces, China Daily reported Friday, citing data from the Swiss watch federation FH. For the whole 2013, the exports fell 12.5 percent. Exports to the No. 1 market, Hong Kong, also fell 1.8 percent in December, bringing the whole-year decline to 5.6 percent, FH data showed.
