China reports three more human H7N9 cases, Xinhua says

Three more people were confirmed to be infected with H7N9 bird flu in Guangdong and Anhui provinces, the official Xinhua news agency reported Sunday, citing local health authorities. They include an 81-year-old woman from Shenzhen, who died on Friday, and an 11-year-old boy from Huaiji County, also in Guangdong, who was reported to be in a stable condition, the provincial health and family planning commission was quoted as saying. In Susong County, Anhui, a 66-year-old man was in critical condition after he was confirmed to be infected with the bird flu virus on Saturday. His wife was engaged in live poultry trading. China has reported more than 120 human H7N9 cases this year, including at least 26 deaths, with Zhejiang and Guangdong provinces worst affected, the report said.
